New Hybrid Buses For Chelsea
A new, very modern type of bus will be seen in Chelsea from 21st September after the introduction of a new number 11 route, as the second in the capital.
The number 11 route runs from Liverpool Street Station to Fulham Broadway taking in the full length of the King’s Road, stopping at Victoria Train Station and many other tourist attractions.
The new buses will be much cleaner and greener than its predecessors. They will be a new generation of diesel-electric hybrids, which have been shown to emit a quarter of the PM and NOx emissions of an average hybrid bus. Also, such types of buses produce 20 per cent less carbon dioxide emissions, which will undoubtedly make the capital greener, like the cleaners in Kensington do.
Councillor Mrs Frances Taylor expressed her satisfaction with the new, modern, number 11 is coming to the borough.
